Summary
[edit]DescriptionScandium-fluoride-from-xtal-unit-cell-3D-bs-17.png |
Ball-and-stick model of the unit cell as part of the crystal structure of scandium(III)-fluoride, ScF3. The crystal analysis revealed a hexagonal-rhombohedral unit cell and the structure consists of ScF6 octahedra. The unit cell axes are not visible as they perfectly lay in the cubic shape. Structure determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction reported in Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem. 1982, 491, 199–202 and is available as CSD entry 1607820 and ICSD entry 36011.
