Summary

Description

Ball-and-stick model of the coordination geometry of Sc(III) in the crystal structure of scandium(III)-fluoride, ScF3.

The crystal analysis revealed a hexagonal-rhombohedral unit cell and the structure consists of ScF6 octahedra.

Structure determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction reported in Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem. 1982, 491, 199–202 and is available as CSD entry 1607820 and ICSD entry 36011.
