Sarah Hite (left) Photo: taken at the USCG Chief Petty Officer Academy in 2009 with the E7 rank. (right photo) Sarah with sister-in-law Kelly Ferguson, who is a Bio Science Tech for USFWS.. . Senior Chief Petty Officer (E8) Sarah Hite entered the U.S. Coast Guard in October 2000. She served four years of active duty in Kodiak, Alaska at Port Services as a non-rate and at the Air Station as a storekeeper. She entered the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve in 2004 and drilled in Tok, Alaska until she was recalled to active duty under Title 10 orders for Operation Iraqi Freedom. She served on active duty at Marine Safety Unit Port Arthur, TX from 2007 to 2008. She demobilized and continued to support the outload mission for Port Arthur during drills until she transferred to U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) at Peterson AFB, CO from 2010 to 2012, where she worked in the joint logistics operation center. Now she reports to CG Base New Orleans, LA as the deputy chief of reserve operations.. . While in the Reserves, Sarah worked for The Boeing Company at Fort Greely, AK and for Raytheon Company at White Sands Missile Range, NM as a logistics specialist. She entered government service as the administrative officer for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Gulf Coast Complex at Mississippi Sandhill Crane NWR in Gautier, MS August 2011. . . Hite’s professional awards include three Coast Guard achievement medals, a joint service commendation medal, several unit and team commendation ribbons, the global war terror service medal, armed forces reserve medal, four good conduct medals, and numerous contractor/civilian performance awards. |
