| Description | Photo of Santa Fe Skyway plane Sky Chief Apache and its pilot, E.W. Harris. The railroad operated an air freight service from circa 1946 to circa 1952. The service appeared to be centered on transporting perishable cargo, from my research at Kansas Memory, but I don't know what prompted the railroad not to press further with its airline. |
