| Description |
Deutsch: Südsüdostansicht der Bernhard-Fest-Hütte auf der Frauenalpe in der steiermärkischen Gemeinde Sankt Georgen am Kreischberg und nächst der Grenze zu Murau. Die Selbstversorgerhütte der „Sektion Murau“ des Österreichischen Alpenvereins befindet sich am Nordhang der 1997 m hohen Frauenalpe und rund 30 Höhenmeter unterhalb des Gipfels. Sie wurde noch vor der Jahrhundertwende als Viehunterstand gebaut und im 1. Weltkrieg als Fliegerbeobachtungsstation genutzt. Nach dem Krieg wurde sie dem Deutschen und Österreichischen Alpenverein (DuOeAV) zur Verfügung gestellt. 1933/1934 wurde sie in gemauerter Ausführung erneuert. Benannt ist sie nach dem Murauer k.u.k. Bezirkstierarzt Bernhard Fest, der Gründungsmitglied der im Jahre 1894 gegründeten „Sektion Murtal“ des DuOeAV war. |
