Description
English: In Terreiro de Jesus, the former Jesuit College church, now the Cathedral Basilica: beside it stands the College, later the School of Medicine. Clothing was dyed in the plaza. Note that the porch at the College entrance has disapperead. The arms of the empire have been placed above the door and new trees planted.
Português: Vista do Terreiro de Jesus, com a antiga Igreja do Colégio dos Jesuítas - atual Catedral Basílica - ao fundo. O alpendre na entrada do colégio não existe mais e as armas do Império foram mudadas para sobre a porta, enquanto novas árvores tinham sido plantadas
