English: 181115-N-ZT773-007 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Nov. 18, 2015) Sailors aboard USS Carney (DDG 64) render honors to the French frigate Jean de Vienne (D643) Nov. 18, 2015. With the French flag flying from the yardarm, Carney radioed to the French ship: “Friends always, allies forever, in defense of liberty.” Carney, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, forward deployed to Rota, Spain is conducting a routine patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe. Le destroyer américain télégraphia le message suivant : « Toujours amis, alliés pour toujours pour la défense de la liberté ». Le Carney, un destroyer lance-missiles de la classe Arleigh Burke, est déployé à Rota, en Espagne, afin de conduire un exercice de patrouille avec la sixième flotte américaine dans le cadre de la préservation des intérêts américains en Europe.
