Description

English: Mineman Petty Officer 1st Class Ralph Bishop, left, and electronics technician Petty Officer 1st Class Verlon Cox attached to USS Freedom (LCS 1) and Clarence Good, receive the Distinguished Service Award from Sheriff Bill Kolender with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. They received the highest-level civilian decoration, for their heroic efforts to save the lives of a local woman and her two children.
