Summary[edit]
DescriptionSadako Sasaki in her coffin- this moved me to tears! (49495456936).jpg | Hiroshima totally annihilated by the USA's atom bomb in 1945- picture 9 of 13: This picture in the museum adjoining the Peace Memorial in Hiroshima moved me to tears. This is Sadako Sasaki in her coffin. Two year old Sadako was not killed during the bombing but developed leukemia due to the radiation. Sadako then started making paper cranes with a hope of making 1000 of them after a friend told her that one who made 1000 paper cranes would be granted a wish. Sadako’s wish was merely to live. The child was two when she was diagnosed with leukemia but sadly died soon after. Detailed notes about the USA's atom bomb attack over Hiroshima and other details appeared earlier in this album.
