Description Sabre of Polish Lieutenant General Henryk Dembiński. The sabre was presented to Dembiński by his men during the November Uprising of 1831. After the Russians captured Warsaw in September 1831, the sabre fell into the hands of Russian Marshal Ivan Paskevich who presented it to Tsar Nicholas I. The weapon is decorated with inscriptions in Polish and Russian, which are a record of its fortunes. Reclaimed from the Soviet Union in 1928.
