Français : Sciences de la Vie et de la Terre - Lycée - Première S - La synthèse des protéines. La traduction.

1 = Le site A du ribosome est "libre" : un transporteur d'acide aminé correspondant au codon vient se positionner. 2 = Une liaison entre l'acide aminé et la chaîne polypeptidique en cours d'élongation se créé. Le ribosome se déplace d'un codon : le transporteur d'acide aminé "vide" qui se trouve dans le site P est "éjecté" (4) et le transporteur qui vient de "perdre" son acide aminé prend sa place (3).

Le site A du ribosome se trouve ainsi "libéré" : le processus recommence jusqu'à ce que le ribosome rencontre un codon "stop"
