English: One of 4 plans for Athalia, yard no. No 209 Dimsː Length 120' 0, Breadth 22' 0, Depth 12' 9. Possibly Athalia, a trawler, built in 1909 by the Dundee Ship Building Company, for Captain J. Setterfield. Registered Milford Haven. Landed at Milford: As ATHALIA 2 Nov 1909 - 2 Mar 1914 Renamed as NEREE 20 Sep 1914 - 2 Mar 1916 Mar 1916: Requisitioned by the Admiralty as a minesweeper (Adm. no. 3266). 1 x 6pdr A/A. (Special service) 1919: Returned to Belgian owners, renamed Soc. Anon. Pecheries Ostendaises. NEREE (ex-ATHALIA), hired trawler, Adty No 3266. Built 1909, 230grt, Ostend-reg O.143. Armament: 1-6pdr AA. In service 3.16-1919 as minesweeper, then special service vessel. |
