Summary[edit]

Description A U.S. Navy SH-3H Sea King (BuNo 149894) from Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron HS-8 Eightballers in flight. HS-8 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 14 (CVW-14) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CV-64), visible in the background, for a deployment to the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean from 11 April to 13 October 1987.
The SH-3H 149894 was featured in the 1986 movie "Top Gun" as the helicopter that lands with the two men shot down by the hero. It was finally retired to the AMARC as 9H0059 on 17 December 1993.
