Deutsch: Gemäß Zuordnung des Berliner Museums: Porträt des Gatten Ernst Friedrich Therbusch von Anna Dorothea Therbusch, 1766. Laut Lebenslust und Frömmigkeit, Handbuch, Regensburg 1999, ISBN 3-7917-1678-6, S. 258/259 sowie Anna Dorothea Therbusch, Diss. Heidelberg 2007 ist diese Zuordnung falsch, das Bild zeigt Peter Anton von Verschaffelt.
Ernst Friedrich Therbusch war Gastwirt und Besitzer des Lokals “Weiße Taube” in der Heiliggeiststraße. Die Heirat mit ihm im Jahre 1742 und die Geburt mehrerer Kinder zwangen die Malerin, das Malen bis Mitte der fünfziger Jahre aufzugeben. Das Bildnis, das sie wahrscheinlich während ihres Pariser Aufenthaltes geschaffen hat, zeigt den Ehemann nicht als reputierten Bürger, sondern vielmehr als sinnenfrohen und lebhaften Menschen mit bohemienhaften Zügen. -- ausgestellt in Schloss Friedrichsfelde (Standort des Stadtmuseums Berlin) |
