Description
Svenska: Kinesiska matsalen i Strömsholms slott, sydväst om Västerås. Väggmålningar med kinesiska motiv av hovmålaren Lars Bolander (1732-1795) i den kinesiska matsalen. Kinesiska matsalen är ett praktrum med låg panel och väggfält, som är spända på väv, som är dekorerade i ljus ton med motiv från den kinesiska formvärlden. Stolarna är av holländsk-engelsk typ från 1700-talets mitt, de är kopior gjorda i slutet på 1800-talet. Kristallkronan är från 1700-talets senare hälft.
English: The Chinese dining room in Strömsholm Castle, southwest of Västerås. Wall paintings with Chinese motifs by the court painter Lars Bolander (1732-1795) in the Chinese dining room. The Chinese dining room is a magnificent room with a low panel and wall panels, which are stretched on fabric, which are decorated in a light tone with motifs from the Chinese design world. The chairs are of the Dutch-English type from the middle of the 18th century, they are copies made in the late 19th century. The crystal chandelier is from the second half of the 18th century.
