Description
English: Part of the Roye monument aux morts in the Somme. An allegory of a victorious France, the figure crowned and holding a crown on which is hooked the Croix-de-Guerre with the helmet of a soldier placed on a broken cross at its feet. This figure is juxtaposed with the figure on the other side of the monument of a woman and child sitting amidst the devastation of a ruined Roye.
