English: Guardsman/men (the king's bodyguard) in full dress uniform(s) of the Norwegian Royal Guards (Norwegian: Hans Majestet Kongens Garde) on guard by a sentry box outside the Royal Palace in Oslo, Norway. Picture taken on a gray spring day in April.
  • The Norwegian Royal Guard's parade uniform:
    • Broad-brimmed, black bowler hat inspired by the traditional uniform hat for Italian light infantry (Bersaglieri, mountaineers), with chin strap, plume/tassel of black buffalo hair, and royal monogram (name initials with "H5") atop the cockade in front.
    • Dark blue jacket with green epaulettes , red piping (sewn edge or trim along the seam), and double braids (galloons, decorative ribbons, Litze braids) on the stand-up collar and on the pointed cuff turn-ups.
    • Black trousers with two white, broad stripes (lampasses).
  • Heckler & Koch HK416, German-made assault rifle with attached bayonet.
