Description

Taken on Saturday 22nd October outside the Museum of Transport in Cheetham Hill during the Deregulation 25 event.

414CLT - New to London Transport in February 1963 as RM1414. It was loaned to Manchester Corporation during the 1960s and has since been preserved in this condition, albiet depicting the GM Buses Piccadilly Line, where Princess Road had a number of Routemasters still in the iconic London Transport colours which ran between 1988 and 1990 on the busy 143 between West Didsbury and Piccadilly via Fallowfield, Owens Park, Rusholme and the University.

JJD515D - New in July 1966 as RML2514 and was based in Upton Park until 1983, which then moved to Willesden, north-west London.

By the time it was withdrawn from normal passenger service in March 2005 (nine months before the last Routemasters were withdrawn from normal passenger service), it was repainted in the Kentish Bus livery with the 19 route branding.

Preserved in the aforementioned livery, both icons bodied by Park Royal
