Description |
Nederlands: Deze katoenen doek bestaat uit twee diagonale delen, een effen gele helft en een geborduurde rode helft. De zwart, wit of gele borduursels van bloem- en zon- en schildpadmotieven komen ook voor op een zeldzame doek en op boomschors elders in Halmahera.
De rood-gele doek wordt op drie verschillende plaatsen en manieren gedragen tijdens het oogstritueel, afhankelijk van de gender en status van de drager. De rode helft ligt voor, maar een rand van de gele helft dient zichtbaar te zijn. a) Als schouderdoek van gehuwde vrouwen Twee doeken worden op de borst geknoopt (kalaotala) en over elke schouder gedragen bij de blauwe sarong (‘ba’a boba). Hier overheen wordt over de linker schouder de blauwe sarong (sangkola) gehangen. De twee geknoopte doeken behoren in ieder geval gedragen te worden door gehuwde vrouwen tijdens het legu ritueel bij de rood-gele sarong (‘ba’a suje), over het fluwelen jakje of het lichtgekleurde baadje. |
