Roman lead steelyard weight, biconical, pierced
Description
English: Roman cast lead alloy steeyard weight, biconical with the lower cone truncated, broken iron loop at the apex of the upper cone. Pierced (circular piercing, diameter 3.3mm) from the truncated apex of the lower cone, running at an angle through to halfway up the side of the upper cone - unusual. Diameter 34.3-35.9mm, length not including loop c.29mm, length including loop 32.7mm, weight 146.3g.
