Roman coin: denarius of Mark Anthony
Description
English: A complete and very worn silver 'legionary' type Roman Republican denarius, struck for Mark Antony c. 32-31 BC (Reece Period 1), travelling mint. Reverse: legionary eagle between two standards, legionary inscription worn out. RRC 540, cf. no. 544/13ff. The coin is extremely worn with few details remaining, though a crescent shaped bankers mark has been punched above the galley on the obverse.
