Description
English: A cast copper alloy toilet spoon of Roman date. The implement measures 56mm in length and weighs 1.6g. It consists of a long narrow shaft with a circular cross-section (diameter 2mm), which has a flat circular suspension loop at one end (diameter 6.5mm) and a small oval scoop (width 5.3mm) at the other. The scoop is slightly angled and the loop has also been bent forward in the same direction. At the centre point and at each end the shaft is decorated with groups of five closely spaced circumferential lines.
