Published by the Associated Cartoon Service. Artwork by John R. Gill.Robert George Stevenson (1872-?) was born in Scotland but moved to Montreal with his family as a child. He began his career with Barber Asphalt Paving Company in 1891 at 19 years old. In 1905, he was put in charge of Barber Asphalt's accounts in Washington, Idaho, Montana and British Columbia. He took over their Seattle plant in 1914. The plant he he ran was at 1327 Ewing Avenue in Fremont. He was married to Margaret Lynd with whom he had five children. |
