English: Roadside Plaque Pass of Keimaneigh Through the Pass of Keimaneigh en-route to Bantry, there is a roadside plaque (to the left of the photo) which has in front of it a pull-in, so a stop can be made to read it. It's in Irish and English, and commemorates those who fell on both sides in the 1822 Battle of Keimaneigh. http://homepage.eircom.net/~sosul/page74.html |
