Description
Deutsch: Roßwein, Kursächsische Distanzsäule auf dem Markt
  • Kopie einer Distanzsäule, verkehrsgeschichtlich und platzbildprägend von Bedeutung.
  • Bei der hier betrachteten Kursächsischen Distanzsäule handelt es sich um eine im Jahr 2000 angefertigte Kopie der Säule aus dem Jahr 1731. Die Säule wurde aus Sandstein angefertigt. Die Säule gliedert sich in Wappenstück mit „AR“- Monogramm und Posthornzeichen, dem Inschriftenblock und Sockel. Die Kopie wurde am historischen Standort am Markt wiedererrichtet.

  • Die Säule war 130 Jahre verschollen. Ein Teil der Säule kam bei Bauarbeiten 1994/95 an der Friedhofsmauer wieder zum Vorschein und liegt nun im Museum. Der Heimatverein konnte im Juli 2000 eine Nachbildung der Distanzsäule am alten Standort wieder aufstellen.
