English: River Esk in spate at The Moors Centre (view upstream) This picture shows an unusually high volume of water flowing in the River Esk as it passes underneath the footbridge at The Moors Centre in Danby Lodge. This picture was taken looking upstream in a westerly direction. The river flows through Esk Dale to meet the sea at Whitby. The Moors Centre (in the North York Moors) lies just to the right of where this photograph was taken. |
