Description The crew of the French battleship Richelieu and the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Saratoga (CV-3) manning the rails as the Saratoga ended operations with the Royal Navy's Eastern Fleet in the Indian Ocean, 18 May 1944.

The National Museum of Naval Aviation identifies Richelieu as "a ship of the British Royal Navy's Eastern Fleet".
