Miss Lingard. Flower is al- most pure white, with slightest pink- ish eye; flower spikes are very large and long, being 18 in. in length. P. Oberon. Cop- pery red. P. Pantheon. Flowers large, beautiful, pink or salmon rose; one of the best and most distinct. P. Richard Wallace. A little later than Sir Edwin Landseer; white, with carmine eye; flowers very large and distinct. P. Richard Wallace. White, with violet center; a good sort. P. Sesostris. Large flower, bright carmine amaranth; extra fine. P. Sir Edwin Landseer. Comes into bloom first of July and continues in bloom during the month. Large, heavy trusses of brilliant carmine crimson flowers; very bright and very showy and effective. P. White Queen. Pure white, fine. P. William Robinson. Flowers very large; pale salmon with rose center; fine. Low-spreading stems and narrow moss-like leaves; flowers pinkish purple, produced in wonderful pro- fusion in April and May. Budbcckia triloba Glow). (Golden Alba. A white-flowering variety of the above, very showy when in flower, presenting a mass of bloom like a sheet of snow. 15 cts. each ; $1.50 per doz. PLATYC0D0N grandiflorum (Chinese Bellflower). A valuable perennial, forming a dense branching bush of up- right habitfrom middle of July until late Sep- tember, bearing a con- stant succession of handsome, large, bell- shaped, deep blue flowers. Mariesi. A valuable new species of the Giant Bellflower, ^not growing higher than a foot, forming a dense, branched bush, and bearing deep blue, bell-shaped flowers, nearly 3 in. across. The unopened buds are nearly as beautiful as the flowers themselves, and are particularly interesting in their peculiar shape. Strong roots. 20 cts. each ; $2.00 per doz. PLUMBAGO larpentae (Lead-wort). Of dwarf- spreading habit, growing 4 to 6 in. high; useful as an edging plant or for the rockery; covered with beautiful deep blue flowers dur- ing the summer and fall months. 15 cts. each; $1.50 per doz. Polemonium coeruleum (Jacob's Ladder). Useful border plants, with deep green finely cut foli- age and spikes of showy flowers. Coeruleum. Showy tufted foliage and terminal spikes of deep blue flowers. 15 cts. each; $1.50 per doz. P0TENTILLA grandiflora. dance of bright yellow desirable border plant. $2.00 per doz. PYRETHRUM ligin sum (Fever-few—"Giant Daisy"). Flowers 2 in. across, white with yellow center. A most profuse bloomer and a showy subject when in flower. Height, 3 to 5 ft. Late summer and early autumn. 10 cts. each; $1.50 per doz. Roseum. Double, named varieties. 25 cts. each ; $2.50 per doz. Roseum. Single, mixed. 20 cts. each; $2.00 per doz. RUDBECKIA triloba (Golden Glow). One of the finest novelties in hardy plants introduced in recent years, and one that should be in every garden. Of fine habit and vigorous growth, producing a profusion of showy, very double, rich golden yellow flowers throughout mid- summer. Excellent for cut-flower purposes on account of the long stems, which often carry a dozen flowers furnished with beautiful foliage. Height, 6 to 7 ft. R. Newmanii. Dark orange yellow flowers, with deep purple cone, borne on stiff, wiry stems, admirably fitting it for cutting. R. subtomentosa. A pyramidal, densely branched plant, which in early fall is com- pletely enveloped in a mass of brilliant lemon- A plant with an abun- flowers in summer. A 1 to 2 ft. 15 cts. each;
