Description |
English: Original record: Silver Roman Republican denarius, with probable winged helmeted head of Roma facing right on obverse, and Dioscuri (heavenly twins Castor and Pollux) on the reverse depicting two horseman galloping right and ROMA in exergue below. Cf. RRC 57/2
Date range is 211-145 BC. See BERK-65D307 which is dated to c.207 BC. Finds Adviser comment: Silver denarius of the Republican or Early Imperial periods, c. 211 BC - AD 64. There appears to be an obverse inscription and bust / head right. The reverse appears illegible. |
