Summary

[edit]
Description
English: "Rush Hour Seating Capacity - Steam Railroads - Pittsburgh and Vicinity", Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1910. The phrase "steam railroads" meant conventional railroads, as distinct from trolleys and interurbans. The map shows that, while multiple railroads offered passenger service, by far the busiest route was on the Pennsylvania Railroad between downtown and Trafford, on the Allegheny/Westmoreland County border.
