State Normal School,the President, Mr. Carroll Edgar, presiding. The address of welcome was delivered by Prof. W. J. Holloway,to which the President responded. Prof. Jefferson Smyth, of Chestertown, was elected an associatemember of the Association, and his address on the advantages ofthe work as taught in the public schools was a feature of themeeting. Mr. Gaithei. of Baltimore, proposed to the Association for mem-bership the following: Messrs. Charles Pettit, George P. McCeney,Warren Seipp, Manning and Bartlett and Miss Edna Johnson, allof Baltimore City, and Miss Ada L. Whitney, of Salisbury, all ofwhom were unanimously elected. After adjournment of the session, the members visited, underthe direction of Mr. George M. Gaither, the Manual Training Schoolsunder the control of Mr. George P.
