Summary[edit]
DescriptionRemsen Cem plaque jeh.JPG |
English: Looking north and down at plaque near western edge of cemetery on a cloudy afternoon.
'Within this park likes the remains of Revolutionary War veteran Colonel Jerumus Remsen. Buried in the confines of this site were his cousins Major Abraham Remson, Captain Luke Remsen, Lieutenant Aurt Remsen, and their families. The Remsen family were amongst the first settlers of this area originally known as "White Put"' This plaque also honors the hard work and determination of the Remsen Park Coalition and those individuals and organizations without whom Remsen Park would never have become reality. . . . |
