| Description |
English: Remnants of the Past The engine room (left) and radar room from the Cold War anti-aircraft battery built to the west of Culwatty Bay in 1950-51. The gun emplacements lay hidden in the woods behind, and had an accommodation camp, with officers being staying in cottage in the bay. It was abandoned by 1954, and the guns scrapped in 1956. |
