The blood stains were left on. theboards, which after the army had gone were used forsealing the meeting house. We visited this old meeting house, and thougha century had passed we saw on the ceiling the im-print of hands in many places. A hundred years hadnot sufficed to erase these blood stains. It was a veryremarkable occurrence. We went to the Friendscemetery, where some of the Revolutionary soldiershad been buried, and great trees were growing ontheir graves.
