Summary[edit]

Description

A nice example of the relatively uncommon relievo ambrotype technique.

A charming image of a young girl (or possibly boy?), estimated to late 1850s, provenance unknown. She/he has a slightly awkward pose - I wonder how long they had to sit still?

See the full set for further images of it dismantled, showing the unique steps in this specific ambrotype technique. The final image is it reassembled after a simple clean.
