Summary[edit]

Description Regulus calendula If you look very closely you'll see a tiny bit of the ruby-crown on this little fellow's head. He seldom flashes it and it was years before I got a glimpse of it. Due to his quick and seemingly nervous movements, this is a difficult bird to photograph. I was lucky because he came daily to dine on the last of the apples on my backyard apple tree.
