Español: Mecanismo regulador de velocidad de un motor de cuerda de un fonógrafo. [A] Fonógrafo parado [B] Fonógrafo en marcha. El rozamiento entre las zapatas y el disco amarillo reduce la velocidad de giro, lo que a su vez reduce la fuerza de frenado. El equilibrio entre el régimen de giro y la fuerza de frenado permite mantener constante la velocidad de rotación del dispositivo. Este valor se puede ajustar desplazando verticalmente el brazo en forma de Y en el que se sujetan las zapatas que rozan contra el disco cuando se rebasa la velocidad máxima |
