Description

Red Cotton Bug, Dysdercus cingulatus I shot this on the outskirts of Bangalore City, in December, 2006.

Dysdercus cingulatus is found as a pest of cotton (Gossipium hirsutum).

It lives there and mate there,in these insects incomplete metamorphosis takes place from egg....nymph.....adult. Male is about 18mm in length and female is about 20mm.
