Description
Deutsch: Mainz, Plan und Profil der Churfürstl. Residentz Stadt Mayntz 1755. Altkolorierter Kupferstich, 62 x 78,5 cm. Thieme-Becker, Künstler-Lexikon, Bd. XXIX, S. 163f. - W.C. Rücker (gest. 1774 in Mainz) war Zeichner u. Kupferstecher. - Er wurde 1750 vom Concilium majus der Mainzer Universität als privilegierter Universitätskupferstecher angenommen. - Das Blatt zeigt im oberen Viertel einen Stadtplan. - Oben links u. rechts große Wappenkartuschen. - Unter dem Stadtplan Gesamtansicht von Mainz. - Am gesamten linken Rand Verzeichnis der Stifte, Klöster, Kirchen, Klosterhospitäler u. Kapellen.
