The parlor >ias three windows which overlook the street and give anoblique view of the Central Park. It is so arranged that one of these win-dows gives light to a large alcove, which can be used either as a work-room or music-room. By a portiere division it can be separated from themain parlor. This alcove has a transom in colored glass, which also looksout on the private hall and serves to light the latter. The effect of thistransom in the hall at night, by gaslight, is quite pleasing. Tbe parlor is trimmed In cherry, and contains a handsome mantel,mirror and open tiled fireplace, with gas log connections and attractiveandirons. This is particnlarlv noticeable in thebath-rooms, as will be seen from the description given below. Tha buildings occupy a site, 75x100 in size, on the north side of 65thstreet, within 125 feet of Central Park West. They are five stories high.Tbe fronts are treated in the Romanesque, with brownstone on the firstfloor and basement and Indiana limestone above. The stonework is tooled•ad rough, interspersed with richly-carved panels. The entrances, withtheir heavily moulded and carved doorpieces, are the main features ofthe facade. THE INIERIOR. Each building is entered through handsome oak storm doors, with largebeveled glass windows in the centre. The vestibule floor is in marble mosaic,■with a pattern in rich colors.
