English: Japanese prisoners in the dock during the first war crimes trial to be held in Rangoon, Burma. These men were charged with the murder of 637 civilians in the village of Kalagon.

The Rangoon war crimes trials opened on 22 March 1946, in the Civic Hall, which had been converted into a courtroom. The President of the Court was Lieutenant Colonel R C Laming. Prosecuting officers were Captain A J T Collier and Lieutenant D D Airey, whilst the defending officers were Captain D G P McGregor and Lieutenant A M Sturrock.
