Description

This is one of William Ramsay’s original lab notebooks. Ramsay became Head of Department for UCL Chemistry in 1887. He was an outstanding experimentalist and is known for his discovery of the noble gases, which won him the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, “in recognition of his services in the discovery of the inert gaseous elements in air”⠀
