Description
English: 35 U.S. Army Air Forces Martin B-26B Marauder of the 320th Bombardement Group bomb the railroad bridge at Albenga, Italy, at 1347 hrs, 12 April 1944. The aircraft dropped 137 1000lb (454 kg) bombs.
Original description: "SMASHED--the rail bridge at Albenga, 64 miles west of Genoa, vital link in the supply route from Southern France to the Hun armies on the Cassino and Anzio Fronts. Marauders of the First Tactical Air Force, based in Sicily, did this job of bombing on 12 April 1944 (U.S. Air Force Number A53401AC)."
