Italiano: TESTA ZOOMORFA - Si tratta della testa di un cavallo, con lungo muso, bocca aperta e orecchie rivolte all'indietro che alludono alla corsa.
Il cavallo nell'Africa subsahariana è segno di status sociale elevato e a questo titolo compare sotto forma di scultura nel corredo dei buffoni bamana (koreduga) che si prendono teatralmente gioco del potere. La testa del cavallo è fissata a un bastone che ne rappresenta il corpo e che è cavacato dal koreduga. L'atto del cavalcare permette di satireggiare i cavalieri (i capi) alludendo anche, più o meno esplicitamente, all'atto sessuale (Colleyn 2010). |
