English: Quartz Mound on Rheast Buigh (Yellow Waste) This area of moorland was recently converted to pasture. There are several ancient monuments known as Quartz Mounds in the area, one of which is in the foreground. They are thought to Middle Neolithic in date and probably cover burials. Looking south-west towards Glen Rushen and Dalby Mountain. |
