| Description |
English: Quarry Plantation with Compton Lane in the Foreground Quarry Plantation is on a spur of high ground alongside Compton Lane which appears to be an ancient trackway running between Clifford, to the East, and East Rigton, to the West. From Compton hamlet to East Rigton, Compton Lane is a metalled, adopted road, but this section from Compton to Clifford is a green lane, and for its last part is now reduced to a footpath, having a bridge over the A1 dual carriageway trunk road. |
