Description Arms of Pychard/Picard: Gules, a fess or between three escallops argent (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.831 "Pychard of Hereford") (See: The Picards or Pychards of Stradewy (now Tretower), Castle, and Scethrog, Brecknockshire, London, 1878, p.104 [1]). Quartered by Brugge / Apbrug /Bridge / Brydges. John Brugge (d.1436), MP, was the son of Johanna Pychard, daughter and heiress of Thomas Pychard of Staunton-on-Wye, Herefordshire.
