| Description |
Deutsch: Der „Pulverturms“ liegt rechts neben einem Hohlweg, der vom Schlossberg ausgehend, gradlinig zum Bürgerhorst führt. Das Waldstück in dem das kleine Bauwerk steht, gehört zum historischen Gelände des Neustrelitzer Tiergartens. Den „Pulverturm“ ließ der Baumeister Christian Philipp Wolff 1811 als kleinen, geputzten Rundbau mit spitzbogigen Blendnischen und einer holzschindelgedeckten Spitzkuppel errichten. Bei dessen Gestaltung wurde Wolff zum erstenmal von dem aus England stammenden Motiven der Neogotik beeinflußt. |
