Description
Español: Del municipio Guaicaipuro del estado Miranda es la segunda parroquia con mayor superficie, con alrededor de 158 kilómetros cuadrados de caminos montañosos; y es la tercera más poblada, albergando más de 14 mil personas. Lo que pocos realmente saben es su verdadero nombre: Pueblo de Indios de San Juan Evangelista de la Guayra de Paracotos. Tomándose el entierro del indio Nicolás como una de las más antiguas actas de defunción, el 5 de marzo de 1673 fue el día establecido como fecha de fundación de este pueblo, ubicado en aquel entonces entre las quebradas de la Guayra y Paracotos
