Summary
[edit]DescriptionPrinces Risborough, Church Lane and Monks Staithe - geograph.org.uk - 745744.jpg |
English: Princes Risborough: Church Lane and Monks Staithe Depending on which website you read this timbered framed building in Church Lane dates from either the 15th or the 16th or the 17th century. What is not in doubt is that it was once the rectory for the nearby church, although it is now known as Monks Staithe. The cottage has an unusual octagonal chimney and the grey plaque on the chimneybreast records the fact that the aviatrix Amy Johnson lived here, briefly, between 1937 and 1938. |
